Óculos Para Todos is more than a company: it is a movement that transforms lives by making eye health accessible to everyone, just as its name suggests. Its mission is born from a simple yet powerful belief: that no one should be deprived of the dignity of sight due to lack of resources. And behind every “sale” is a team that treats each customer with respect, professionalism, and genuine warmth, building relationships that go far beyond a mere commercial transaction.

Óculos Para Todos was born from the attentive eye and compassionate heart of Alexandre Lopes, who realized that thousands of people were facing the harsh daily reality of being unable to afford eyeglasses — something so simple, yet essential for living with dignity, autonomy, and quality of life. In this spirit, the first Óculos Para Todos store opened in January 2016 in the city of Porto, and since then the project has established itself as an innovative force in Portugal’s optical sector, standing out for its mission to democratize access to visual healthcare.

The brand’s recognition over these 10 years stems from a combination of social commitment, business innovation, and a strong consumer focus. The visionary behind the project guided us through the space on Rua do Bolhão, proudly showcasing every corner of what he calls his “second home.” He shared the challenges faced in launching the business — from resistance within the sector to the effort of building partnerships.

Alexandre Lopes added that Óculos Para Todos’ differentiation does not rely solely on fair pricing, but also on a sales philosophy centered on the real needs of the consumer, promoting transparency and positive experiences. And he assured us that, even with the recently introduced franchising model, they will never abandon the three principles at the core of the brand’s identity: fair pricing, above-average quality, and exceptional service.
