Miguel Rocha is head of Euracini Óptica, a project that he created in 2003 in Póvoa de Varzim. “Both my business partner, Ana Nunes, and I wanted to embrace a self employment project. Thus, on August 1st of 2003 Euracini Óptica was born, located in Póvoa de Varzim. In 2007 we opened the second store in Caxinas and in 2011 we integrated a new partner in that optics store. I have the best team I could hope for. I believe that people have to be integrated into the projects. They have to be a part of the company, feel that the projects are theirs. That is the future, to work in a place that we are helping build. Our optics store always followed the same guidelines. But a lot has changed in 13 years. When we started out, the sector was structured in a completely different way. A lot of changes happened in the market and in the way companies and professionals act. We had to adapt to these changes and will have to keep on doing it. Beyond the team, we’ve always been very careful about the choice of suppliers. As an example, we’ve sold our lenses at virtually the same price from the beginning: And people know they might pay more here, but they trust in us. We are still independent”.
