The XXVII International Congress of Optometry and Contactology (CIOC), organized by the Professional Union of Portuguese Opticians and Optometrists (UPOOP), will be held on March 14, 15 and 16, 2025.
Under the theme “The Paths of Optometry as a Science and Profession in Portugal and around the World”, the event will take place at the Belém Cultural Center in Lisbon.
In addition to the UPOOP president, Henrique Nascimento, Madalena Lira, Beatriz Redondo Cabrera, Clara Pérez, Jésus Vera Vílchez, Cristina Álvarez Peregrina, João Pedro David Simões, Miguel Ángel Sánchez-Tena, Jorge Aveiro, Enric Puigventós Rosanas, Ricardo Bernández Vilaboa, Rut González Jiménez, Gema Martínez Florentín, Ana Díaz Cortés, Ana Severino, António Queirós Pereira, Sandra Johanna Gárzon Parra, Ana Roque, Carlos Fresno and José Pinho are some of the names already announced and who will be part of the program.
