Shamir attended every day of the event with its mobile unit, Shamir On The Road, providing free vision screenings for drivers, but also for the public, in an initiative aimed at reinforcing the company’s commitment to visual health and driving safety.
This is “one of the main concerns” of Shamir, which intensified with the launch last year of Shamir Driver Intelligence lenses, progressive or mono-focal lenses specially developed for driving.
Shamir’s presence at Penafiel Racing Fest 2024 not only highlighted the company’s “commitment to visual safety but also reaffirmed its dedication to the community and sports”.
A recent example of this was the renewal of the partnership with the Portuguese Olympic Committee, which will see Portugal’s team at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games wearing glasses from the Okiatto by Shamir collection.
