Vítor Martins and Ana Carvalho, from Maxivisão Optics, donated 23 pairs of prescription glasses and 11 pairs of sunglasses to children and adults from Korogocho, Kibera, Isinya and Ongat’a Rongai. Maxivisão’s “Humanitarian Mission in Kenya, 2023” took place on the 10th of March.
March 10th was a landmark day for Maxivisão, with Vítor Martins and Ana Carvalho in Nairobi, carrying out the “Humanitarian Mission in Kenya, 2023″. The Portuguese Embassy, a partner of the company since 2019, boasts an “undeniable impact” that the company has “in each country that it visits” through this project, other Missions have taken place in Cape Verde, North Macedonia, Peru and São Tomé and Príncipe.
In addition to this Humanitarian Mission, Maxivisão has taken part in numerous other projects, with the support of the Portuguese Embassy, including, giving 50 children ophthalmological consultations, in an initiative led by volunteer Inês Gassin.
Following these consultations, the Portuguese Embassy in Nairobi “ensured that the children affected by eye diseases received the necessary medication”.
