Mário Pereira is the “face” of optoVision in Portugal, a German laboratory for ophthalmic lenses that arrived in Portuguese markets in October. In an intimate interview, the project leader told us about his career and the vast experience he has in the area of ophthalmic lenses and, also, the brand he will plans to represent in the country.

How would you describe the optoVision brand?

It is an ophthalmic lens laboratory that is part of the Rodenstock group, which is a great asset, as it is a highly regarded brand in the world of optics. I already knew the laboratory, but of course I did my “homework”: I studied the product and the markets where it is already established. And, in fact, the designs of the lenses are fabulous, the anti-reflective coatings are extremely good, the results are great and all of this ensures that I can work with confidence.

Do you intend to reach all opticians?

Of course, we want to be in all Portuguese opticians, I won’t say no. However, more than selling, we really want to sell… not just because of our prices, but because of our technology and our final product, because of the quality of our lenses. We want customers to try optoVision lenses and give us their feedback. You have the opportunity to do this with any of our products, and for a good price. And a customer who is satisfied with our lenses will, for sure, choose our products again.

What is the message you would like to give to Portuguese opticians?

Open your doors to us, let us show you our product, so that you can test it with your customers. And believe in us, in our project, in the optoVision laboratory. You’re going to like the final result.
