With the motto “let’s say goodbye to the bug”, Parente Optica Medica gave out 20 automatic alcohol gel dispensers, in different areas, at the Sé and Latino Coelho school groups in Lamego, northern Portugal.

“The context of the pandemic led us all, each to their own, to try to help a friend. December is always a month when we support an institution in the municipalities where we operate and this year it made sense to change the focus and create a project for schools, “let’s say goodbye to the bug”, acknowledges Tiago Parente, managing partner of the Optics Company.

For him, the “project was designed to be educational, but also fun and to try to help children to remove the negative burden that this pandemic has brought to our daily lives. With the confinement it was only now possible to install the automatic alcohol gel dispensers in schools, but we hope that our contribution can make a difference in controlling the pandemic among children, young people, and their families in our region,” states Tiago Parente, managing partner of Parente Óptica Médica.

This contribution was supported by the community to the extent that in December 2020 the company launched a campaign in which, for each sale of sunglasses, Parente Óptica Médica gave 10 euros to buy automatic alcohol gel dispensers and respective holders to be installed in the schools.
