Alberto Silva, current director of Visual Health at Essilor Portugal, goes to Europe to assume the position of Europe Director of Education, Training and Professional Relations, at the Essilor Europe Centre of Excellence, with responsibility for the development of professional relations of the company, world leader in ophthalmic optics.
Within the scope of his new responsibilities, Alberto Silva will lead a structure composed of teams from several European countries, with the purpose of developing the relations between the company, the visual health professionals, and the scientific community, as well as the company’s educational contents at a European level.
“The area of knowledge is at the heart of any organisation, and when this same area is placed at the heart of the business, to train and coach our teams and partners for excellence, we can only be proud of that. So, it is with great pride and personal satisfaction that I face this European challenge, trying to share and take the good practices we have implemented in Essilor Portugal to a wider context,” said Alberto Silva.
The new European role will begin on the 1st of May, and the new functions will be exercised in Portugal.
