“Because I am outraged. Because I feel a kind of second-hand shame. Because I feel like my hands are tied against a free-for-all parallel business. If we can’t buy mattresses in shoe stores, meat in bookstores, shoes in bakeries or cellphones in the butcher, then why should we be able to buy sunglasses or prescription glasses in kiosks, pharmacies, eastern bazaars (Chinese stores), supermarkets, stationery shops, boutiques, watch stores, clothing stores, department stores, electronics stores, magazines (which sell eyewear for “just X” euros more)?”.
