As part of thecentennial celebrationofthe birth of Amália Rodrigues, the Amália Foundation and Prooptica signed a cooperation agreement for the launch of the Amália eyewear collection for the next five years.

Moutinho Ópticas celebrated its 63rdbirthday on July 13. The birthday party was held three days later, on the 16th, at Quinta da Boucinha in Vila Nova de Gaia, and the entire team was invited.

The new directors are comprised of Fernando Tomaz (Optician of Telheiras, associate 1322), António Amorim (Medical Optics of the Beiras, associate 699), Paula Silva (New Oculist of Loures, associate 944), Daniela Fonseca (Jorge Oculist, associated with 185 )and Arlindo Teixeira (Adão Oculist, associate 51).

Opticenter reopened onJune 1st in the city of Viseu after a brief interruption. The new store is located in the heart of the city, in Largo General Humberto Delgado nº 19.

The Ver Bem Aljustrel program, developed by Ótica Silvestre and the Municipality of Aljustrel, runs throughout this year and aims to provide free access to necessary optometry exams and prescription glasses to the poorer local population.
