The re-elected Institutoptico administration – Paulo Arromba, Vera Velosa and Luís Góis – evaluates the last three years.
“We have always believed in an expansion project, it’s a flagship project to us. We are compromised by 187 optical stores around the mainland and the Azores, but are looking to add more, because we know the value and skills that the Institutoptico group can offer their partners. However, our focus is not solely to raise the number of partners, but to bring in optical professionals, pursuing the goal of being “the best Portuguese optical group”. We firmly believe that the Institutoptico is the best resource for those who see optics as an added value visual health service, supported by the best offer in every field.
The last three years have also been positive in that regard, with the admittance of 13 new group members. Our territorial reach keeps extending and we will continue working towards adding more Institutoptico sale points in Portugal. Another feature that defines our purpose as administration is partnership management. It has become absolutely essential to look for business outside. Institutoptico is well aware of that and we have been not only developing not nationwide partnerships, but we also created a project and communication tools that allow us to help our partners to develop their local partnerships. A highlight on a national level is the partnership we have established with Médis, which allows every Instituoptico optical store to have a direct arrangement with this insurance company.
We have developed two commercial nature projects, namely the “Joint Purchase” and the “Financial Transactions Central”. These were two medium-term development projects that we were able to successfully implement in the group and that showed, through their complexity, that Institutoptico is without a doubt a very cohesive group. Otherwise it wouldn’t have been possible to launch such large initiatives.
