The story of Tiago Teixeira, founder of Eyeshowroom, begins with his grandparents, an entrepreneur and a visionary, one in textiles and the other in the design of spaces, furniture and the creation of new materials. From a young age, Tiago witnessed his grandfather’s ability to design furniture and spaces for clients, creating unique environments such as historic shops, hotels and restaurants. He brings with him a wealth of experience working with architects, designers, artists and companies in various fields, having worked as a consultant in design, fashion, communication, branding and strategy, lectured at the Catholic University in Braga and had his work published in international design and communication books. He has won awards at the International Design Awards and has played a crucial role in the internationalisation of Portuguese brands, introducing them to fairs and showrooms that are difficult to access. He highlights the opportunity he has had to meet and exchange knowledge with incredible people: ‘I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with Souto Moura, Fernando Guerra, Álvaro Negrello, Dirk Niepoort, Alexandre Herchcovitch, Filipe Carriço, among other personalities, becoming friends with whom I have the pleasure of exchanging experiences,’ he reveals. Eyeshowroom is the result of this path of innovation and dedication.

Eyeshowroom is a registered European brand that was born out of my passion for design and innovation. Eyeshowroom’s mission is to offer prestigious brands and unique products to exceptional clients. Eyeshowroom is like an art gallery and I am its curator. I play the role of consultant, curator, brand manager, representative and distributor. We believe in being relevant, adding value, honouring our legacy and staying ahead of our time. Our approach is based on innovation, research and dedication. Our aim is to bring something distinctive, disruptive, quality and exclusive to our customers. We value the concept of ‘quiet luxury’, with authentic brands that are identified by their design and unique characteristics, without ostentatious logos.
Which brands do you represent in Portugal?
We represent an exclusive selection of prestigious brands in the Portuguese market: Gamine (USA), LGR (Italy), You Mawo (Germany) and Baars (France). I select brands with the same care and attention that a museum curator chooses works of art. Each brand is chosen for its innovation, strong commitment to quality and ability to bring something unique and different to the market. We work with designers who have their own ateliers, guaranteeing a distinctive offer with high added value. Each selection is made with the precision and rigour of a watchmaker, who adjusts a complex and fine mechanism, ensuring that each piece offered is unique and of excellence.
