At an event attended by the brand’s new ambassadors, actress Inês Aires Pereira and broadcaster and comedian Nuno Markl, MultiOpticas reopened its store in Amoreiras Shopping with a new image, more suited to the new challenges emerging. Between flutes and glamour, ÓpticaPro spoke to the new head of MultiOpticas in Portugal, Axel Mallmann, and the marketing director of EssilorLuxottica Retail Iberia, Sandra Silva.
The new space impresses those who pass through the corridors on the 11th floor of the Amoreiras Shopping Center, in Lisbon, with the modern, simple, and renovated decoration of a company that intends to “continue to define the lines of market leader”. Personalized service is privileged, in an emblematic space for a brand that reaffirms its commitment to providing customers with the best specialists and the most advanced equipment. On the other hand, the brand’s products stand out, with the overall design of the space having been redesigned and better suited to customers’ needs, as its managers made a point of emphasizing on the opening day.
How did the event to present the new MultiOpticas space in Amoreiras go?
Axel Mallmann: The opening of this space represents a new store concept, with a presentation to the press, as we do in many European countries. The plan is to renovate several MultiOpticas stores this year and next, with a more attractive and modern space, for greater customer satisfaction, with the best brands and the best professionals.
Why did you choose Nuno Markl and Inês Aires Pereira as the company’s ambassadors?
Sandra Silva: We want to reach new targets. Dona Dolores is still very close to us, but we want to reach other age groups. Nuno Markl is a glasses wearer that everyone knows and Inês also wears glasses, many of them sunglasses, giving the brand a younger, more fashionable, and fun look.
