After a long career in Grupo Conselheiros da Visão (Vision Advisory Group), first as human resources director and then as financial director, Pedro Soares has been the chairman of the group since August, succeeding Rafael Silva’s long term of office. In his first interview after taking office, he highlights the importance of new goals and mindsets, but above all the continued preservation of the foundations that helped to pave the way to success over the last 30 years. “The institution will always be the primary focus”, he says.
ÓpticaPro: What are the main objectives you wish to implement during your term of office as chairman of Ópticas Conselheiros da Visão?
Pedro Soares:Before answering any questions about our line of business and Grupo Conselheiros da Visão (GCV), I would like to say, if I may, that a company, in order to be successful, must develop its work in such a way that leaves people satisfied, thus improving their lives. Remuneration for labour and capital must be done in a balanced proportion. Only satisfied people can contribute to a better service and, at the same time, leave other people satisfied. I aim to do this every day in my company and in GCV. This is the main objective, a company that improves the lives of the people with whom it interacts.
