Bringing together around 500 participants and a record number of exhibiting companies, this year&#8217;s edition stood out for the strong engagement of the academic, scientific, and professional communities, as well as its focus on cutting-edge topics that bridge technological innovation and clinical practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout the congress, the integration of fields such as virtual reality and artificial vision into everyday clinical practice took centre stage, reflecting the continued evolution of Optometry and Vision Sciences and the growing impact of these technologies on the delivery of eye care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking to <em>\u00d3pticaPro<\/em>, the organising committee expressed great satisfaction with the 2026 edition, highlighting that CIOCV continues to strengthen its position as a leading platform for scientific advancement, knowledge sharing, and collaboration between research, clinical practice, and industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The organisers also emphasised the strong involvement of the academic and scientific communities, bringing together practitioners, lecturers, researchers, students, companies, and national and international experts. According to the committee, the congress has played a decisive role over the past decades in building a more informed, engaged, and well-prepared professional community capable of addressing the current and future challenges of vision care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attendance remained consistent with previous editions, with approximately 500 delegates, demonstrating the event&#8217;s stability and maturity. Meanwhile, the exhibition area reached a historic milestone by welcoming the highest number of participating companies ever recorded.
