At 4:00 p.m., experts will gather to discuss the topic <strong>\u201cEducation and research in vision sciences: where do we stand compared to Europe?\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moderated by <strong>Jo\u00e3o Firmo<\/strong>, this session will analyze Portugal&#8217;s position in the European landscape, both in terms of higher education in vision sciences and in applied research and technological innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The panel will feature presentations by <strong>Ana Roque<\/strong> (ISEC Lisbon), <strong>Clara P\u00e9rez<\/strong> (University of Santiago de Compostela), <strong>Madalena Lira<\/strong> (University of Minho), <strong>Francisco Brardo<\/strong> (University of Beira Interior), and <strong>Lu\u00eds Vieira<\/strong> (OcularEyeCare). Together, they will discuss academic models, challenges to scientific mobility, and opportunities for international cooperation that can strengthen the education and practice of optometry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The OP\u00d3TICA summit, promoted by \u00d3pticaPro magazine, will be held at the Hotel Solverde Spa &amp; Wellness Center in S.
