On February 11th, 18 businesspeople gathered at the Hotel Solverde \u2013 Spa & Wellness Center in Vila Nova de Gaia for a working lunch to elect the winning opticians for 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the first time, optical stores were able to register directly for the\u00a0\u00d3pticaPro Awards<\/a>, submitting their applications in the categories in which they excel, instead of depending solely on external nominations or the exclusive judgment of the jury. This new participation model aims to bring the award even closer to the field, give a voice to the teams that work daily with consumers, and ensure that no relevant project is left out due to a lack of visibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After the vote, there was still an opportunity to hold an open discussion on current and relevant topics that are on the agenda of the optical sector, such as “Artificial intelligence applied to optics”, “Brand concentration”, and “Regulation of optometry”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For this edition, once again, the jury was composed of a representative slice of the optical sector’s business network, namely: This year’s edition includes 10 categories, reflecting different dimensions of the business and professional activity of opticians: Innovation<\/strong> , Digital Transformation<\/strong> , Management<\/strong> , Decoration<\/strong> , Customer Service<\/strong> , Expansion<\/strong> , Social Responsibility<\/strong> , Sustainability<\/strong> , Longevity<\/strong> , and Career Award<\/strong> .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
