You <\/strong>are based in a rural area. What are the main opportunities, but also difficulties, that you encounter?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Opportunities arise from difficulties and how we face them. Rurality is now associated with the profound demographic problem affecting the entire interior of the country. It remains very difficult to retain the working-age population, and this is the greatest difficulty, which has been constant throughout our existence. Given the shortage of qualified human resources, we must necessarily attract them from other regions of the country and entice them to settle in the interior, with all that this entails. As this difficulty is common to all social groups, the same is true in medicine, so the greatest opportunity is also associated with the difficulty that the population has in accessing eye care in the public sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n How do you see the role of MultiOpticas Bragan\u00e7a in the local community?<\/p>\n\n\n\n We have close ties with several local institutions, whether social, philanthropic or commercial associations, which challenge us to participate in the actions they develop in their various areas of activity. Specifically, through early childhood eye screening, which we have developed with the Bragan\u00e7a Lions Club, for the disabled population, with Santa Casa da Miseric\u00f3rdia, or through direct donations, as was the case with the Portuguese League Against Cancer. Through the Commercial Association and C\u00e1ritas Diocesana, we have also offered prostheses to people who have been identified as unable to afford them. In a community as small as ours, by helping others, we are helping ourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What makes MultiOpticas Bragan\u00e7a unique compared to other opticians in the region?<\/p>\n\n\n\n We are fortunate to be able to develop our craft in a region where there are several opticians with a long history and high standards. We deal with competition that, in general, takes pride in its work and carries it out in a serious and professional manner. This makes us feel the need to constantly reinvent ourselves, as a way of growing and improving. Naturally, imbued with MultiOpticas’ know-how, we have developed this unique and innovative attitude in the evolution of the customer experience in our stores, from online to the counter, from customer service to commercial conversion, and including communication before and after this contact.
