Among the various items on the agenda are topics such as the annual approval of the accounts for the 2023 financial year or the board’s budget and activity plan for 2024. With the resignation of Manuela Lira, the election of a new member to the position of Vice-Chairman of the board of the Associa\u00e7\u00e3o de Apoio \u00e0 Sustentabilidade \u00d3ptica will also be discussed, as well as the announcement of the new AASO members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On another level, this Extraordinary General Meeting will present the report on the Activities Plan for the current year, highlighting the partnerships already registered with Quercus or CADIn, the workshops, and the publications of articles alluding to AASO’s activities, namely with \u00d3pticaPro magazine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Looking to the present and future of optics, AASO is also discussing the “creation of a methodology for calculating the carbon footprint of opticians”, with the creation of a partnership with Quercus for this purpose, a point to be discussed at a future conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other AASO initiatives in the sector and civil society are also on the table, such as “Optical Day”, as well as a conference on Ageism, among other activities to be announced in due course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
