The OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation and C\u00e1ritas Portuguesa are continuing the “Vision as Needed” program, this time in Lisbon. Last Friday (June 21), at 10:30 a.m., screening sessions were held at C\u00e1ritas Paroquial da Damaia, followed on June 27 by consultations for those who show a need to wear glasses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This initiative is to meet the needs of the most vulnerable population in the area of visual health, and this action will benefit around 100 people that C\u00e1ritas Paroquial da Damaia already accompanies and who have vision difficulties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to the screening and consultation, people who show that they need it will be able to benefit from the offer of prescription glasses, provided by the OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation, free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This program is the result of a partnership between C\u00e1ritas Portuguesa and the OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation and is now in its third edition. Viseu and Santar\u00e9m were the first two Dioceses to take part in this initiative, which has already helped around 140 people in different ways. After Lisbon, this initiative will move on to the Diocese do Porto, with the collaboration of C\u00e1ritas Diocesana do Porto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
