This is a fundamental instrument for the country to be able to face the challenges of the energy and climate transition and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new program, recently launched with the support of the European Commission, seeks to help meet important challenges, such as adapting to climate change, the transition to a circular economy, and the development of urban mobility and sustainable transport. It is framed within the following strategic and policy objectives of the European Union:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; &#8220;A greener Europe&#8221;, which implements the Paris Agreement and invests in the energy transition, renewable energies, and the fight against climate change;\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; &#8220;A more connected Europe&#8221;, which includes the main investments aimed at developing a sustainable Trans-European Transport Network.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sustent\u00e1vel 2030 program is one of the 12 funding programs created for the operationalization of Portugal 2030, which materializes the programming cycle of European funds for the period 2021-2027.
